Have you ever done a juice cleanse? I have a free money course that is the equivalent of a juice cleanse…except it's for your bank account 🙂
I’ve attempted a juice cleanse a handful of times with varying degrees of success. Even though I don’t enjoy skipping meals (my #hanger force is way too strong), sometimes drinking healthy veggie juices is a good reset for my system after a decadent holiday season, big vacation, or a night of partying.
So why am I telling you about my juicing habits?
Well, I think you can “reset” your money system in a similar way. Doing a money cleanse can help you get your finances back on track while setting yourself up for future success.
By the end of the “sprint” you should have: a budget that works, clearly defined savings goals, a debt payoff plan and be on your way to making more money. It's all completely possible and I'm going to show you how.
Want a sneak peak of what you can expect in The 7-Day Money Cleanse course? Take a look below to see what you can look forward to!
The Free Money Course to Transform Your Finances – The 7 Day Money Cleanse
Day 1 – Set Your Money Goals
We start out nice and easy on day one, focusing on what you are hoping to accomplish with a financial reboot. Saving up for a new car? Trying to pay off your credit card debt? Once you’ve got your goal in sight you can more accurately assess your needs.
…And you’ll get a free download of my money goals worksheet as well!
Day 2 – Start Tracking Your Spending
Now we get into the nitty-gritty. It might not seem fun, but tracking your spending (or just getting an app to do it for you) is essential to seeing where all your money is going in the first place! On Day 2 you’ll get my advice for making tracking easy, along with my personal recommendations for tracking tools.
Day 3 – Build a Better Budget
Okay, everyone knows how much I love a good budget. I’m a huge believer that thoughtful budgeting can change so much of your financial life. So on Day 3 you’ll get access to my personal budgeting tools, tips, and tricks, all rolled up into a neat little package and delivered straight to your inbox.
Day 4 – How to Jump Start Your Emergency Fund & Other Savings Goals
“But Lauren, I have so many other things I need! I don’t want my money to just sit somewhere!”
I get it, savings accounts and emergency funds just aren’t fun. It sucks to feel like you have money you could be using for debt payoff, a down payment, or even just for fun that you shouldn’t touch. But here’s the thing, emergency savings are important. Like, really really important. What will you do if you need a car repair? Have a pet emergency?
But I also know that it can be super hard to save if you are on a limited income.
So on Day 4 you will get a crash course not only in saving, but how to make your first $1,000 to fund those savings accounts. Plus a step-by-step breakdown on how to save effectively and my favorite savings products.
Day 5 – Create a Powerful Debt Plan
After paying off over $20,000 in debt in the past 5 years, I’ve come to be known for my debt payoff posts. My real-life, true story of how I paid off $8k in 90 days is probably the most popular post here on LBMT. So you wouldn’t be wrong to say that I love helping people reach their debt payoff goals!
During Day 5 you’ll get to see how I do it. You’ll get my debt repayment worksheets, learn how to check your credit score, and how to avoid repayment burnout (it’s real!).
Day 6 – Maximize Your Income
Everyone wants to make more money. I’ve never met someone who was like “nah, I’m good” about having more money. But a lot of people have a hard time actually making more money.
Why is that?
Well, maybe you don’t think you have the time or resources to side hustle, or maybe you just don’t know how to get started! Day 6 will show you a bunch of different ways that you can make additional income to help you meet your money goals from side hustles, online surveys and apps, along with how making more money can help you destress! More money and less stress? Yes please.
Day 7 – The No Spend Challenge
Ah yes, the FBL-favorite No Spend Challenge. I think this is a great way to end the course, and I hope you’ll agree!
Doing a No Spend Challenge combines all of the lessons that you will have learned, in addition to just being a fun and thrifty personal challenge. Day 7 shows you how to prepare for a no spend challenge, how to actually do a no spend challenge, and how a no spend challenge can help keep you focused on your financial goals.
Every day is filled with helpful articles, worksheets, and other tools that will help you succeed. So if you’re looking for an easy, step-by-step roadmap to help you get your finances where you want them to be, this is it. I can’t wait to hear what you accomplish!
